The works comprise of the partial demolition of the existing buildings, construction of a new four storey block incorporating the retained walls from the previous buildings to the South and East elevations together with associated external works.

The new block will include the construction of a RC basement followed by an RC frame superstructure. The North and West elevations will be built utilising an approved brick sympathetic to the surrounding architecture. The facades of the South and East elevations in areas above the existing retained walls will be a rain screen cladding formed from larch timber. The roof will be from timber rafters with a proprietary standing seam system above incorporating substantial roof lights.
