The extensive remodeling of this residence radically altered the elevations, internal rooms and basement; new larger windows were inserted, visible vertical structures were replaced with concealed balanced frames and the house was stripped of its original envelope to be replaced with timber cladding and slate tiles.
A garden-house was built entirely of exposed timber and new staircases used hydro-cut steel plates to achieve treads and balustrades less than 30mm thick without additional support.
