The original Grade II listed building has been refurbished, extended and improved. Work includes the reinstatement of ornamental leaded light windows, the insertion of a new balcony into the nave to accommodate 150 more worshipers, creation of a new full immersion baptism font and the construction of a new building for community use with office, study and additional prayer facilties.
The new extension is designed to contrast with the existing building without detracting from the design of the original. Building lines reflect the existing eaves levels whilst a glazed link clearly separates old from new. Its steelwork construction uses the slimdek system for the floors while the walls are clad in copper over a structural insulated panel system.
