The new Hall is a single storey building with a suspended ground floor slab, formed
at three different levels, using precast concrete “beam and block”. The perimeter walls were constructed in timber framing and finished with timber cladding to the architect’s specification. The internal “spine” walls were formed in solid load-bearing masonry and the exposed outer leaf of the cavity wall constructed in brick.

The roof is a timber engineered joist construction over the ancillary areas of the building, and exposed glue laminated post and beam construction over the main hall area. The Glulam roof gave the main hall a 14m by 14m space clear of columns with a green roof over.
