The new spaces are used as social spaces by the 6th form. At the upper level it forms a foyer and break-out area as well as a space for informal assembly and performance.

The new two storey building has piled foundations supporting a hybrid of load bearing blockwork, timber wall panels and frames constructed from green oak. The upper floor structure is a mixture of pre-cast concrete floor panels and softwood timber floor joists.
