MICHAEL
EATHERLEY BSc, CEng, MICE, MIStructE, FConsE Graduated from University College London in 1960. Trained at Binnie & Partners working on the design of large earth dams and water supply projects. Joined Ove Arup & Partners and worked on public housing and university schemes, hospital buildings in Nigeria and the Rio Cobre Floodway Project in Jamaica. Worked at Arup Associates on industrial buildings, naval dockyards, and Bush Lane House, an innovative structure with water-filled stainless steel external frame. Joined MBP in 1977 and became a partner in 1979. Awarded Guthrie Brown Medal in 1977. Projects at MBP include a Lift Testing Tower in Northampton, and the Croydon Arts Centre and Library Complex and the extensive restoration and adaptation of the former Royal Naval College, Greenwich, a scheduled monument, for use by the University of Greenwich. Other work includes new buildings at Rose Bruford College in Sidcup, and a new museum for RAF Cosford. Many new housing schemes using light gauge steel have been completed including the award winning Beaufort Court in Fulham. Recently he was involved in examining damaged historic structures in Kosovo. Michael has had technical papers published in The Structural Engineer and the Arup Journal. Michael retired from the Practice in 2005. |

KEITH
JEREMIAH
MSc, CEng, FICE, MIStructE, FGS, FConsE Studied Civil Engineering at Bristol University and joined Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick & Partners spending periods in Nigeria and Oman concerned with general civil engineering and geotechnical work. After completing an MSc in Engineering Geology at Newcastle University became geotechnical consultant to the structural unit of Balfour Beatty Engineering Ltd. Joined MBP in 1981 becoming a partner in 1986. His experience includes geotechnics, roads, drainage and water supply in addition to a wide variety of new and refurbishment building projects. Keith also advises on building defects and construction problems for the purposes of remedial works, insurance assessment and litigation including work on Lancer Square for the Crown Estate. He was the principal responsible for the complex geotechnical work at Wakehurst Place for the Millennium Seed Bank project. Other projects include newly built apartment blocks in London's Docklands at Eastern Quays and Western Beach, structural design of the overcladding of an office building in Lombard Street, EC3, the unusual award winning Anderson House and master planning at Canning Town. Keith retired from the Practice in 2007. |
