MARK CHAPMAN BEng, CEng, MIStructE Mark graduated with a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering from Nottingham Trent University in 1990. He worked at Fordham Johns Partnership, consulting engineers on a variety of new and existing buildings including Fortray Heap Hall, a Victorian building in Ipswich. Mark joined MBP in 1995 becoming an associate in 2000. He has worked on several project for Royal Botanic Gardens Kew including No 1 Museum. He also worked on a number of high specification refurbishment projects in Belgravia. Other projects are two new 12 storey apartment blocks in London's Victoria Docks, Western Beach and Eastern Quays, and a new flagship store for Borders Books in Cambridge, and new luxury apartments at Lansdowne Crescent. Mark relocated to our Norwich office in October 2001 with responsibility for development and execution of structural design in the East Anglia Region. Projects in the region include KITE Media Centre and Cedar House. |

JONATHAN
COLEMAN BEng, CEng, MIStructE Jonathan studied at Trinity College Cambridge gaining a Masters Degree in Engineering in 1997. He worked in the Structures Group of Alan Baxter and Associates where projects included the refurbishment and extension of a grade II listed water mill for an old people's home, and the construction of a new road access bridge over the river Wey. He also worked on the new Islington Arts and Media School and the National Gallery London, Orange Wing. Jonathan joined MBP in 2001 and was Project Engineer on Eastern Quays, Royal Victoria Dock: a new twelve storey, £11m apartment block. Other projects include The Yehudi Menuhin Memorial Hall, Surrey, the restoration of Theatre Royal, Bury St. Edmunds, a Grade I listed Georgian theatre and many large refurbishment and new build housing projects. Jonathan became a chartered engineer in 2004 and was made an associate of the Practice in 2007. |

LUIZA
PETTERSSON BA, MSc Luiza studied at the Institute of European Studies in Sweden and speaks a number of languages. She came to England in 1998 to study for a degree in History of Art & Architecture at the University of East Anglia. She then gained a masters in the Conservation of Historic Buildings from the University of Bath in 2002. Luiza joined MBP as an administrator in 2003 and is now Practice Administrator responsible for the day-to-day running of the office. She became an associate of the Practice in 2007. |

LOUISE
QUICK CEng BEng MIStructE Louise studied at the University of Manchester gaining an Honours degree in Structural Engineering with Architecture. She worked for Barton Engineers Ltd, gaining considerable experience in designing structures in a wide range of forms and materials. From 2000 she was a Director there with responsibility for co-ordinating knowledge and design information including the control of technical methodologies and data. Louise joined MBP in 2003. She was the principal design engineer on the Royal Air Force Museum, Cosford, a new extension to the Jodrell Laboratory for the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and the new Shirley Shirwood Gallery of Botanical Art for the same client. She has worked on halls of residence for University College London and a variety of housing projects including a seven storey development in Montpellier Street, London SW7. Louise became an associate of the Practice in 2007. |
